Practical tip/First 24 hours/Beijing

A calm first-day checklist that actually worked for us

Internet first, one small payment test, hotel address ready, then airport transport. Keeping the order simple prevented most stress.

First day travel preparation in China
Community preview: This sample shows how future traveler posts will look. Personal experiences may become outdated; verify entry, payment and transport rules with official sources.

We arrived tired and decided not to solve everything at once. Four tasks were enough to make the rest of the day manageable.

Our order

Connect mobile data, test a small payment, save the hotel address in Chinese and choose airport transport only after those three things work.

The useful backup

We kept screenshots of the hotel booking, passport details and airport route. Even without perfect internet, we could show staff exactly where we needed to go.
